Senegal
Senegal were
the surprise of the tournament. They impressed as a team with a coherent
tactics putting the skills of the disciplined players into a frame that
made sense.
In the quarter finals they
had Nigeria at the verge of defeat and if they can build up on this performance
they can become a factor of the Aafrican game in the next years.
Only too often promising
performances by teams of the middle class of African football have been
followed by lack of consistent build up, bad management and a poor outing
at the next occasion.
