Liberia
after chaotic preperations surprised by a good improvised teamwork. From
a crowded defence they played a not very modern but successful game with
few but dangerous attacks using the potential of Weah, Debbah, or Prince
Daye.
But twice they lost
two points through long range strikes in the final minutes of matches.
In the third match
against Nigeria it became evident that the team was not strong enough in
depth and unable to replace important players. Nigeria who had beaten Liberia
only close in World Cup qualifiers was clearly the better team. |
