The match saw another
of those first Champions League week's early goals, the 1:0 lead for Raja
Casablanca (Redouane Elhimer, 3rd).
Despite the goal it
became one of those matches often typical for matches involving teams from
Ghana.
Hearts Of Oak, a team
of skillful players with a lot of (often successful) challenges and a jerkily
passing game, often won and lost balls again which lead to a match suffering
from short posessions, fouls, some injuries, some theatralics, and fragmented
team displays.
After being reduced
to 10 men short after halftime (a retaliation blow), Hearts Of Oak did
not create much in front of the Morocco goal anymore.
Raja Casablanca, not
playing sensationally themselves, at least had a few opportunities when
smartly spotting the few weaknesses among the Ghana backs. 1:0 the final
result.
