Mali 2002 - The Qualification  GROUP 2

A- Liberia, B- Mauritius, C- Congo, D- S. Africa
A very interesting group: Liberia and Congo are both quite well playing teams, regularly on the verge of qualification and Mauritius has been a decent team, especially uncomfortable at home. South Africa had problems there before. But South Africa should be a too solid team to fail, the race for second place seems wide open with Liberia and Congo the most likely candidates.

*South Africa qualified for Nations Cup, Liberia needs 1 point
With South Africa leading this group, Liberia at Congo in a possibly predeciding match, if they take all points at Pointe Noire. Liberia has complained about an intentional bad treatment by the hosts, who bacame famous for their 'hospitality' already a few years ago when they created an atmosphere of intimidation against South Africa at a WC qualifier match.
