-('12) snapshot: Burkinabé delight the crowd with some fast combinations and moves, twisting the crowded South African defence and the South Africans answer with a sophisticated fast and direct counter attack
-Burkina Faso are the attacking team while South Africa sit back and wait for their counter opportunities

halftime 0:0
Burkina Faso impress the crowd with some exiting unexpected moves, while South Africa convince with their more logical play. The South African defence looks more solid, although it is not always easy against the tricky Burkinabé. Both look capable of scoring while quite well organised.

2ndhalf:
-('49) Benni McCarthy header wide, unchallenged at a free kick cross
-('53) another McCarthy header wide. Moments before he had conquered the ball from a overconfident defender with only 25 meters to the goal, on the left hand side
-('55) McCarthy is unmarked at Buckley's cross, takes the ball directly but his 10 meter attempt goes wide again. A big opportunity.
-('58) Another opportunity for South Africa but one attacker is in the way of the sharp shot by the other
-South Africa have taken over full command at this stage. Although the Burkinabé have not changed their tactics, South African attacks are more sharp
-('62) Suddenly Burkina Faso with an exciting counter attack, in the last moment blocked by the South African defenders
-('68) Burkina Faso big opportunity after a one against one situation on the right hand side had created some space and a good cross by youngster Sanou but #19 Moumouni header goes far off target
-Sanou and Mady have impressed at the Under 17 World Cup and are already included in this squad
-('72) Siyabonga Nomvete has come on for South Africa and immediadetly creates a huge scene in front of the Burkinabé goal, during which twice the ball is cleared of the line and once bounces against the crossbar
-('74) Burkina Faso: deflected Sanou free kick, perfectly saved by Vonk
-('82) South African defence can stop a fine Burkina Faso combination only 6 meters to the goal.
-after South Africa had dominated the bieginning of the half, it is not Burkina Faso who seem to have more fuel left
-('injury time) A  good looking header by Moumouni goes across the bar after a corner

final score 0:0
South Africa solid, mature, fast in counter attack but not precise in shooting today. Burkina Faso certainly with another step forward, exciting here and there, well organised but with some fragile moments in defence.
