Cameroon
Cameroon were
the deserved winner of the Nations Cup, even though the final was won on
penalties and a first round match was lost against Togo.
They had to win through
a heavy preliminary group and had to play both hosts on the way to the
title.
Whenever they needed they
demonstrated their potential and they had impressing impact players in
... mmh probably one would have to mention them all.
Player of the rournament
for many was the emerging Lauren Etamé Mayer in his role he played
on the half right side.
Cameroon looked far developed
since the 1998 World Cup side and this unit can become the fundament of
a generation which might have a lot of impact on the World level, too.
What seems remarkable is their desire to win, and, if necessary, to force
it. |
