Group C
Group C has a clear favorite
in Egypt, but the outcome is much more open than the less prominent names
of the opponency suggests. Egypt has lost the form, the coach, and maybe
the confidence? Zambia has been in a crisis but some things might have
been cleared now, they might use some players of their brilliant under-20
squad and their star Kalusha Bwalya has returned.
Senegal has returned from mediocracy and has impressed with some
warm up results. Burkina Faso has surprisingly conserved yet some of the
form of 1998, when they finsished fourth at the Nations Cup on their home
turf.
