The situation before the match:
a loss with one goal difference in this, their last qualification match, would put Morocco through to the finals, all worse could mean out for them.
Guinea with another match ahead desperately needed a draw, because a loss would mean they will have to win their final match at home with at least a 3 goal margin (or more depending on the result here).

Morocco started as the huge crowd expected from their celebrated all-star team. Guinea payed for their shyness in the beginning by conceding an early goal after a corner (Reuters: 6th min).
An obviously practised pattern led to the goal by (Reuters:) Abdeljalil Hadda who scored unmarked.
From then on Guinea became more and more dominant and set up a number of dangerous threats towards the home team goal.
Morocco rescued themselves into half time.
The first 30 minutes of the second half the match became a bit more tensed. Meanwhile confidence shifted a little back to Morocco again and it was in the reach of the home team to decide the match.
In the final quarter desperately fighting Guinea, led by Titi Camera took over the match competely and caused increasing excitement in front of the Morocco goal.
In the end some close misses, some unprecise shooting and a good Morocco goalkeeper prevented Guinea from the deserved score.

Compared to Togo, who drew at Morocco, Guinea looks the more exciting team, but now they will have to beat Togo by at least 3 goals on the June 19/29 weekend, an enormous task. And a consequence from the very first match, a 0:2 loss at Togo. With the attitude shown it will be worth trying anyway.
